Left brain at work. Logic, reason, thinking processes and the like
When it comes to happiness, we people are strange beings. We think that if we allow ourselves to be happy, then we’ll make others feel miserable. We therefore want to drag the whole world into happiness with us.
Sadly, that’s not possible. People have different priorities, and happiness is usually pretty low on their list. You’ll be boring them, wasting their time – and wasting your precious time too. It’s best to let go, for ...

There is a cause, and there is an effect. Nobody can escape it. And the same cause, in the same conditions, will always yield the same effect.
If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got. Not sure who said it for the first time, but he was right.
This relationship will be different. This job will be different. This year will be different. This encounter will be ...

If you do not change the direction in which you are going, you will end up where you are headed.
Confucius was on to something here; when I first read this, I found it a very powerful concept. And a little frightening, to be honest. I frightened me because, at the time, I wasn't doing anything. That is, I was doing the regular thing, going there and back again, waiting for the weekend, waiting for ...

Nope, I haven't read Great Expectations, and I don't plan to read it :).
But some time ago, I realized that people expect things from other people. You expect your significant other to bring you flowers. You expect the government to be competent. You expect your boss to be intelligent. You expect the bus to arrive on time. Honestly, that's a lot of unfounded expectations.
Expecting others ...

Greetings, dear friends.
Happiness is not a gray area. It's more like black and white. It's either we're happy, or we aren't.
Happiness is an absolute, and once achieved, it's hard to lose it again. Once the internal shift happens, no matter what external circumstances may be, happiness cannot be shaken.
Would you agree?

Wouldn't it be great if everything we wished for could become reality? Yeah, that would be great, who wouldn't love that?
Well, I'm going to tell you that actually, reality IS like that. Whatever you wish will come true.
Then why do most wishes NOT come true?
Most wishes people wish do not come true because they wish for conflicting things. I was having a discussion with a friend some years ago, and ...

When it comes to remembering past events or periods of my life, there's two ways I remember.
For some periods, the memories are blurry, like I was having some fog on my brain, or like someone else was living. Those are the periods when I was wandering without really knowing where I was going, not having a purpose, just going on. Almost like someone else was living, or like I was in a dream, or ...

People tend to come up with all sorts of excuses. Over the time, my excuses have been "I don't have enough money", then "I don't have enough time", then "I don't have enough energy", then "I don't have enough time" again... Really, what I was doing was "making up excuses".
Even now I don't have enough time, but that doesn't prevent me from going after my dream (which I'll share some other time). Instead, I ...

Gec on his blog wrote:
That's right. For most people, happiness is just not a priority. You'd think the engine behind anybody's actions is finding their happiness. However that is not the case.
Ask your mother: Mom, would you rather be happy, or would you rather I'm healthy?
Ask your significant other: Would you rather be with me, or would you rather be happy? Ask yourself the same question: would I rather be happy, or be with ...

Happy or unhappy, would you switch places with anybody on Earth? (or in Heaven he he)
For as long as I can remember, no matter what stage of my life I was in, no matter how high or how down, the answer to that question has always been a definite: HELL NO!
I'm willing to bet that that's the case for everyone.
Now, why do you think that is?
